Art in Your Plate - FOOD ZURICH 2024

Taste the Masterpieces from Zurich Museums Turned into Delicious Dishes.

Imagine what the painters of the past would say, seeing their masterpieces come to life as delicious recipes savored by future generations…

At FOOD ZURICH 2024, masterpieces from Zurich museums step out of their frames and become dishes to be savored at our table. MatchArt's art historians crafted a three-course vegetarian menu inspired by depicted ingredients. Hosted at the Proseccheria on June 8, 12, and 15, 2024, the fully-booked events offered guests a taste of history brought to life.

The chef’s locally sourced, seasonal ingredients honored Switzerland's culinary heritage, blending wild herbs, berries, fruits, spices, edible flowers, vegetables, grains, and cheeses to create dishes infused with both new flavors and ancient aromas. Each plate was a tribute to lost flavors and surprising combinations, inviting guests to rediscover the essence of our regional culinary history.
