On June 28, 2003, the exhibition "Giovanni Segantini" was presented in Maloja, documenting the artist's life, work, and death, and now, 21 years later, the Giacometti Center is reopening this exhibition, highlighting the connections between Giovanni Segantini and Giovanni Giacometti.
To mark the 75th anniversary of Augusto Giacometti's death, Marco Giacometti published a biography and a thematic exhibition, highlighting the artist's vision of painting as 'the art of color'.

While Giovanni and Augusto Giacometti were achieving artistic success, their homeland of Bregaglia suffered from severe poverty, highlighting the contrast between their cultural contributions and the economic struggles that led many local families to emigrate to New Zealand.
