Exploring 16 Artists in a Unique Exhibition During Fotomuseum's Renovations

The Fotomuseum Winterthur is currently undergoing renovations, and this has opened up a unique opportunity to share its impressive collection with other museums. After the successful presentation of A Show of Affection – Collection Constellation 1 in Winterthur, the curatorial concept is being continued with Collection Constellation 2 now on display at the Kunststiftung DZ BANK in Frankfurt, Germany.

This traveling exhibition provides a fascinating insight into Fotomuseum’s collecting activities by showcasing exemplary works of 16 different photographers and artists from its extensive collection. 
The Fotomuseum Winterthur’s collection is vast and varied, comprising 9,000 photographic objects. These include photographs, documents, installation works, and moving images. The collection spans from the 1960s to the present day, featuring not only internationally renowned photographers but also a fresh generation of interdisciplinary artists.

With works by: Diane Arbus, Lewis Baltz, Tina Barney, Hannah Collins, Anna Ehrenstein, Matthias Gabi, Nan Goldin, Roc Herms, Roni Horn, Zoe Leonard, Marc Lee, Mark Morrisroe, Frida Orupabo, Cindy Sherman, Lorna Simpson and John Yuyi.
