Step into a world of creativity, curiosity, and dynamic Swiss design at the group exhibition JOY during Milan Design Week 2024.
Hosted by the House of Switzerland Milano, will bring together Swiss designers, studios, and brands, and univerisities in the field of design.
Under the theme of JOY, the group exhibition explores the power of emotions in the design process, showcasing how they can unleash new potentials. Emerging talents and established designers alike will present their innovative solutions, demonstrating the fusion of traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques and challenging consumer habits.
Highlighting the event are eight young designers—Estelle Bourdet, NEUNOI, Varia Instruments, CLAIRE + LÉA, Luc Reinacher, ScheideggerPauli, SALIENTI, and Tabea Wschianky—who have created bespoke designs that embody the essence of JOY.
Additionally, four Swiss universities of design—Höhere Fachschule für Technik und Gestaltung Zug (HFTG), Basel Academy of Art and Design FHNW, HEAD-Genève, and ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne—have also contributed to the exploration of JOY, showcasing their unique perspectives and innovative approaches.
Responsible for the scenography and visual communication of the exhibition are Dorothee Dähler, Kaj Lehmann, Lukas Marstaller, Oliver-Selim Boualam, and Yeliz Secerli, ensuring a captivating and immersive experience for visitors.
